How to write French and Spanish, German accent mark (Diacritic) in your English mac keyboard.

These characters, you cannot type directly with your English keyboard setting. But you don’t need to switch a French or Spanish keyboard to type special characters English doesn’t have.

There is the Alt Codes to type these characters.

Éclair (é)

Option + e + (any characters)

Île-de-France (î)

Option + i + (any characters)

Über (ü)

Option + u + (any characters)

À tout à l’heure (à)

Option + ` + (any characters)

Ça va bien (ç)

Option + c

Español (ñ)

Option + n + (n, N)
